MY STORY
Lensay Abadula is a UX Designer based in New York City. She loves minimal design, manipulating content and watching episodes of The Golden Girls.

Several years ago I envisioned a career as a news reporter. But I soon realized what excited me most about reporting was advocating for others; thus I made a switch into human rights and advocacy work. Slowly my desire to travel grew until I finally left New York for Ethiopia (the birthplace of my parents).
While in Ethiopia my entrepreneurial spirit was awoken. I began to explore this path after returning to the States and set my eyes on the tech space. I met a UX Designer and was amazed by her role, of which I had never heard, but seemed to fit my set of skills and interests.
I am excited to now be a UX Designer myself. As I empathize with the user in my design process I find myself in an advocacy role once more, where my story began.
