MY STORY

Lensay Abadula is a UX Designer based in New York City.  She loves minimal design, manipulating content and watching episodes of  The Golden Girls.

Several years ago I envisioned a career as a news reporter. But I soon realized what excited me most about reporting was advocating for others; thus I made a switch into human rights and advocacy work. Slowly my desire to travel grew until I finally left New York for Ethiopia (the birthplace of my parents).

While in Ethiopia my entrepreneurial spirit was awoken. I began to explore this path after returning to the States and set my eyes on the tech space. I met a UX Designer and was amazed by her role, of which I had never heard, but seemed to fit my set of skills and interests.

I am excited to now be a UX Designer myself. As I empathize with the user in my design process I find myself in an advocacy role once more, where my story began.

MY CREDO

"If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. …"
