PERSONAL SNAPSHOT

Experience

I have several years of experience as a full-stack UX designer working across all stages of the design process. Previous work experience includes advocacy and international development.

Tools

Sketch, Figma, Invision, Google Analytics, Omniture.

Skills

Surveying, Card Sorting, Interviewing, Wireframing, Prototyping, Usability Testing, QA.

With a background in journalism and human rights work, I bring an analytical perspective to my design process. My UX 'super power' is asking thoughtful questions. I enjoy uncovering complex problems and nuances across different personas and use cases. I enjoy being involved in the entire design process, particularly design strategy and wireframing.

Because of my previous experience, I consider myself a User Advocate, not only in producing deliverables, but throughout all areas of the design process. Whether discussing a specific feature with a developer or conducting QA before a launch, I consider it my responsibility to be a representative of the user at all times.

Overall, throughout my design process and in my deliverables I strive to maintain:

value (meeting business goals, solving user needs, incorporating inclusive design)

balance (consideration of constraints and user needs versus stakeholder goals) and,

innovation (addressing obscure user problems and adding creative opportunities for user delight).

RECOMMENDATIONS

“… Apart from being a great team player, Lensay's ability to quickly wrap her head around complex problems was a great asset - she always pushed creative to substantiate their approach and worked with them to find alternate solutions. Agency UX work is often fast-paced and chaotic, which leaves little margin for error - Lensay dovetailed seamlessly with this environment …”

— Daniel Greenwood, former supervisor at Mullen-Lowe Profero

“Lensay is an absolute pleasure. Her attitude and spirit would be an asset for any company. She hosted various UX and design lunches and other events to train our team on the importance of UX within all aspects of the company. All of this helped us evolve our company.”

— Peter Seidenberg, CEO of NextGuest
